Lakota’s All-Aluminum … Built Strong

The following aluminum components comprise of the confidence behind Lakota’s trailer construction.

Frame: The chassis is built with 4” X 2.66” 6005-T5 structural aluminum I-beams on max 16” centers welded to industry leading 4.312” X 2” side rails... all before adding an outer extruded van-rail. This is stronger construction than most trailers on the market.

Floor: The interlocking tongue and groove extruded aluminum floor planking has 1/8” walls and solid 3/8” thick risers making it 20% thicker than the industry standard.

Sidewalls: The sidewalls are constructed of tubular aluminum versus the “c”-channel construction that many other manufacturers are using, making it 33% stronger than the industry standard. The walls have 1 ˝” think foam insulation giving them a 33% greater r-value than our competitors.

Doors: Our rear doors and feeder doors use industry leading 3/8” thick extruded aluminum for the strap hinges and use an exclusive integrated door frame making them the strongest doors in the industry.

Roof: The roof is constructed using extruded aluminum roof rails with .150” wall thickness and is welded to the 1 ˝” X 2 ˝” X .125” wall aluminum sidewall header. The roof is supported using 1” X 3” roof bows.
