My name is Ashley Reed, I am 21 years young and I’m from Buckeye, AZ. I have been on the back of a horse since I was about 3 or 4 years old. I have been running barrels since I was about 5 or 6 years old. I rode in a lot of gymkhanas, and Indian rodeos growing up. One of my biggest accomplishments was training my current horse that ended up being a 1D/2D horse. In 2015 our breakthrough came when we won our barrel and pole classes at a local gykhana and started to place at 4D’S. My role models include Sherry Cervi because she is one of the greats that makes it look effortless and she’s is an AZ girl like myself, and Fallon Taylor because she has nothing but kind words and encouragement to pass on always and she isn’t afraid to be herself in the arena regardless of how she is looked at. This year I will be competing in the Southwest Region of the INFR with a yearend goal of qualifying for the finals. I can’t think of a better brand to represent on the road this year than Lakota Trailers! This is a great way to give back to the up and coming generation and I would love to be a part of that and to spread the encouragement!
