Primary Horse’s Name: Cowgirl, Dash and Pepper
My name is Makayla McCabe and I from Lewiston, ID. I have been riding horses since day one and I have never lost my true passion of rodeo. I compete in IHSRA District 3 on my three horses Dash, Pepper and Cowgirl. The events I compete in are Breakaway, Goat Tying, Barrel Racing, and Pole Bending. My freshman year I achieved the honor to go to state in three events for district 3, I also accomplished being District 3’s Rookie of the Year. My role models would have to be my grandparents Clyde and Edie Longfellow because they have been involved in the sport since the sixties and are still involved today. I was given my fiery goat horse, Cowgirl, from my grandpa Clyde. Pepper and Dash were bred and raised by my family. I cannot wait to share my love and passion for rodeo with all of you!
