My name is Whitney Waddell, I live on a ranch in Driggs, Idaho; and was born June 6th of 2000 I started riding horses before I could even walk. I started off riding competitively when I was 8 years old in my local 4H program, and I started to rodeo when I was 10 years old. I began training my own horse to run barrels and rope on when I turned 11. I continued to compete in shows and rodeos more and more, getting to now and I rodeo almost every weekend during school, and all week long, all summer long. I am proud to say that I have made my horses what they are and grown not only with them but while riding them. Some of my accomplishments I like to acknowledge are, 3rd place JH Rodeo Series breakaway roper, 4th place JH Rodeo Series 3D barrel racer, 8th place goat-tier in district 7, and 10th place breakaway roper in district 7. One of my goals is to qualify for high school nationals in the breakaway roping and to become a known breakaway roper. My hero in the horse world is my dad, he taught me everything I know today and continues to teach me new things about the way of life. My dad has been my number one support, from shoeing my horses, to getting my trucks serviced, and even coaching me along the way. I am grateful to be able to practically live on the road chasing my dreams.
